Meals and Snacks
Anne Sgro Children’s Centre presents a rotating, seasonal menu, which reflects cultural diversity, healthy eating and fresh, seasonal produce.  The menu provides a variety of breakfast choices, morning and afternoon teas, lunches and late snack.  Water and milk is provided to the children.

High Standards
High standards of nutrition are maintained for all children’s meals. The Centre is classified as a “Class A” Food Premises as per the Food Act 1984 (Vic), and is fully compliant with all aspects of the Act. The food and safety program is located in the foyer.  Please arrange a time to speak with the Centre Chef if you wish to discuss this.

Nut, egg and MSG free
We are a nut-,egg- and MSG-free Centre.  Agreements are made with parents/guardians once they notify the Centre regarding special dietary requirements such as allergies, religious, cultural and medical requirements of individual children.

Winter weekly menu

This is one example from our seasonal, 6 week rotational menu.

Monday

Breakfast:
Choice of cereals including WeetBix, Corn Flakes, Rice Bubbles. Water and/or milk offered.

Morning tea:
Seasonal assorted fruit platter. Water and/or milk offered.

Lunch:
Spaghetti Bolognese- beef mince with tomato pasta sauce, onion and herbs. Choice of grated cheese.  Water offered.

Afternoon tea:
Vegie platter- celery, red capsicum and cucumber served with fresh mandarins, pears, bananas and oranges.Water and/or milk offered.

Tuesday

Breakfast:
Choice of cereals including WeetBix, Corn Flakes, Rice Bubbles. Water and/or milk offered.

Morning tea:
Yoghurt with fresh pears, bananas, and oranges. Water and/or milk offered.

Lunch:
Vegetable stir fry with noodles- zucchini, carrots, onion, capsicum and mushroom. Water offered.

Afternoon tea:
Jam and coconut twists served with fresh apples, cucumber bananas and oranges. Water and/or milk offered.

Wednesday

Breakfast:
Choice of cereals including WeetBix, Corn Flakes, Rice Bubbles. Water and/or milk offered.

Morning tea:
Seasonal assorted fruit and vegetable platter. Water and/or milk offered.

Lunch:
Lentil Soup with vegetables and rice- carrots and celery served with garlic bread. Water offered.

Afternoon tea:
Homemade orange muffins, served with fresh apples, pears, strawberries and oranges. Water and/or milk offered.

Thursday

Breakfast:
Choice of cereals including WeetBix, Corn Flakes, Rice Bubbles. Water and/or milk offered.

Morning tea:
Seasonal assorted fruit platter. Water and/or milk offered.

Lunch:
Baked fish with chives and lemon served with cous cous salad. Water offered.

Afternoon tea:
Coconut cookies, served with fresh red capsicum pears, bananas and oranges. Water and/or milk offered.

Monday

Breakfast:
Choice of cereals including WeetBix, Corn Flakes, Rice Bubbles. Water and/or milk offered.

Morning tea:
Seasonal assorted fruit and vegetable platter. Water and/or milk offered.

Lunch:
Roast chicken with baked chips and green bean salad. Water offered.

Afternoon tea:
Vegemite sandwiches served with fresh apples, mandarin’s bananas and oranges. Water and/or milk offered.
