About the Committee

The management of Anne Sgro Children’s Centre is overseen by a parent/guardian-based Committee of Management.

The committee is made up of office bearers such as Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Staff Liaisons (and deputies) as well as special project roles such as Fundraising.

The committee is also made up of general committee members who help to contribute to decision making and general Centre support.   All committee members come from various backgrounds and each bring their own set of skills and expertise. New members are very welcome!

The committee meets once every month on the third Tuesday at 7pm.

The Committee's Responsibility

The committee is responsible for the legislative and financial control of the Centre, and is the employer of all staff. Being part of the committee is a valuable experience that allows parents an insight into the running of the Centre, and provides the opportunity to build and maintain a support network for the  Centre Director and other staff.
